Black Expo South  is the place to be for people of every age!  Three days packed full of exciting events such as the Business Opportunity Summit, Economic Empowerment Summit, Charity Golf Tournament, Kick-Off Reception, a Taste of Black Expo, and of course, the Black Expo. This signature event is fun for the entire family – celebrity signing, health fair, junior entrepreneurial area, national recording artists, product sampling, seminars, shopping, and a variety of food.

Black Expo Activities

The health and wellness area is a major component of the Black Expo. This area is an educational and interactive space designed to provide basic preventive medicine and free medical screenings to people in the community. Typically, the following screenings are available at the Black Expo free of charge:

  • Blood Pressure
  • Bone Density
  • Bone Marrow
  • Cholesterol
  • Dental
  • Foot Evaluations
  • Glucose (diabetes)
  • Hepatitis
  • PSA
  • Posture
  • Vision Evaluations

Attendees will also find healthy cooking demonstrations, a health resource center, nutrition center, fitness center and demonstrations, pharmacy or medication counseling, health fair stage or health and beauty spa advice.

Black Expo offers fun for the entire family! The Kids Zone is a play area for kids during the expo. Activities offered for children in the Kids Zone may include:

  • Celebrity guest appearance by child star
  • Magic Shows
  • Jump castles
  • Face painting
  • Storytelling
  • Karaoke
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Character appearances such as Ronald McDonald
The Greek Village is a fun and action-packed area consisting of all “Divine Nine” sororities and fraternities of the Divine 9. Each have a booth display to represent their organization and its philanthropies.

A little friendly competition is also involved; awards are given to the organization with the best Greek display and the best attendance. All alumni and undergraduate chapters from the area are encouraged to come together in Greek unity to fellowship, educate, stroll, and raise money for a charity.

Select partners have the opportunity to conduct a seminar during the expo. Seminars are one-hour sessions, usually focusing on a topic to enhance the attendee’s professional, financial or personal growth.

Each expo has a local talent stage where locals can showcase their talent to their community. Singing, dancing, spoken word, and a variety of other talents are performed on the stage throughout the day.

No, there is one price which covers all events on the day of the Expo. We sometimes offer premier seating for the celebrity events.

Where do I Purchase Tickets?
Tickets can be purchased on the day of the event at the Box Office.

Are discounts available?
Yes! With groups of 20 and more, we will deduct $2 off each regular price ticket and this offer cannot be combined with any other offer. Please call the corporate office

Is parking available?
Yes, free parking is available.

Is there childcare at the show?
No, unfortunately, childcare is not available at the show for insurance reasons. However, strollers are welcome in all areas of the show floor.

How do I find a particular exhibitor at the show?
There will be show guides at the front desk with the exhibitors listed alphabetically and their booth numbers. An exhibitor list will also be posted on the website two weeks prior to the Expo. In the meantime, inquiries about specific vendors may be directed to our year-round office.

Is reserved seating available to see guest speakers at the show?
Occasionally, we will reserve seating with an additional fee. However the general ticket price includes seating. All seminars and performances are included in the price of your admission ticket.

How long should I plan to stay at the show?
The show can take between two to four hours to see, depending on your itinerary, goals and objectives. We recommend that you plan to spend a bit more time visiting with exhibitors, as they are quite varied and serve as valuable resource for your particular needs.

Our goals are to education, enlighten and empower the community. What better way to do this than during the Black Expo! This process is simple, register below for a seminar that is of interest to you. Space is limited and based on availability.

This year’s complimentary seminars will be some of the best yet as we tackle topics that are focused on health, business, relationships, financial issues and more.
